Need Help With My Audiobahn System

Post by pcdipsetbg »

I have an Audiobahn A18001DT Amp and i recently bought 2 audiobahn Alum10n subs to go with it, however when i hook them up and turn the radio on to test them they make a hissing sound then the amp goes into protection mode....does anyone know what is going on? do i have it wired wrong or is this amp not capable of powering these type of subs considering they are dual 6 ohm each? Please help!!!! I need to know if the amp will power these subs or not because if it will then i will just have to work witht the wiring or whatever is wrong but it will be a relief knowing i didnt buy the wrong equipment but i looked online and cannot find much information Please help!!!!

Two things come to mind. You gain might be cranked, causing the hiss, and the light, or you have it wired wrong.

You got to make sure the ohm load matches. I think thats where your wrong. Audiobahn isn't that great by the way. Perhaps you should return it and get something better before you can't.

heres a diagram of how it looks, it not the best diagram but it gives an idea....

sub sub
(+)----(-) (+)----(-)
(+)----(-) (+)----(-)
(-)----(+) (-)----(+)
(-) (+) (-) (+)
l l---------- l ----l----------(+)AMP
l-------------------l----------------(-)

-=wire
(+)=positive
(-)=negative

have any diagrams or suggestions of how i can wire it?
