Ok, possibly another stupid question, but it's an idea that just came to my head. I have 3.5's in my car that have weak bass(obviously) but very clear highs, would it be possible/a good idea to use them instead of tweeters for a component set up?

no, You probably just best off to go with a standard 5.25 or 6.5 comp set that inclused a midrange/midwoofer(same speaker) and a actual tweeter, that way you'll have a lot less problems.
and it'll come with a crossover matched for the set...

HELP!!! So I wired the power and the ground wires just fine, and the amp turns on, with no protect light, just a green power light. I only have my subwoofers wired to the amp to CH 5 and i have all three RCA's connected. The remote wire is run also. Why wont my subs work? I did turn some of the dials but the subs wont make any noise. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6520_Hifonics+ZXi+8006.html# That is the amp and you can get pictures of it there too. Please Help!

Is there a sub on/off option on your HU? I know a lot of hu's have this option and you might not have switched the sub to on yet.

Try taking a small piece of wire and use it as a jumper to go from the remote hook up on the amp to the power... This will tell you if it's a problem with the remote wire... Also check to make sure that you have the RCAs in the correct input and good connections at the h/u.

I tried that, and i made sure the RCA's are going to thr right channels... Idk what to do, maybe it's an internal problem with the amp? I'm going to bring it to a shop around here and see if they can help me...

Well, It's fixed! One of the subs in my box had a wire disconnected... I didn't even think to check in there... well now it's nice and loud and I love it... Once I get my speakers in the doors, I'll post some pic's...
