i do use their amps and those particular components, hell i have three sets total. only used one so far, lol. their amps kick ass man, at least my Q3000's and Z9000 do. i can't speak for their subs, yet, maybe they are garbage, i will find out and let you know.

i can "say" that elevation is junk, i can "say" that rainbow is junk, hell i can "say" that just about any company is junk if i want to....doesn't make it true does it?

Rule number 1. Don't believe half of what you hear on the internet. Every noob is suggesting FI these days, and 90% of them haven't ever owned a sub from them. Things like that show you that people just repeat what they hear without having any expieriance themselves.

This is what I have found out about Cadence.

Subwoofers= Below Average Quality. Haven't found one I liked yet.
Amplifiers = only used the old Z series, and they were underrated, and did very well. That line was above average.
Components = CVL's are great for the price, and well above average quality.

I would never suggest them for subwoofers. But the Z series amplifiers, and CVL's are far from crap. Can't speak for their other stuff.

do you realize who i am? do you think im some kid who sits behind his keyboard reading everything and listen to everything people ever say?

im a competitor in dbdrag and bass race infact im ranked 9th in the world right now in the bass race 149.9 class.

as for cadence and waldoman. im not going to sit here and waste my time typing the names of all the people who say cadence is crap. if it works for you more power to you. i have way more important things to do than sit here and go back and forth when i already stated i have no exp with the actual product im going by the words of fellow competitors.

now ben everyone is reccomending Fi because its a great product thats it the simple truth.

Weren't some world SPL records set with Cadence amps a few years back?

And if you are saying the subs are crap, I will 100% agree with you there.

And the FI thing I said was to illustrate how noobs throw out names of products they have never owned or listened to just because other people say it. I was not commenting on the performance of FI products.

im not sure. but i know for a fact there were some world records set with crunch amps and get this sony amps. that whole system is flawed.

I was asking more out of curiousity. I just remember seeing some old Cadence amps setting some world SPL records back about 4 years ago.

Thanks for all the responses guys. At this point I'm not ready to take a risk with Cadence. I plan to do one installation for my new car. I want to get it right the first time.

So what do you guys suggest? Like I said, I don't like anything with bright tweeters (MB quart, infinity, etc). I also don't like Polks. Any suggestions? I'm willing to spend up to $250 ish. I like silky highs and warm midbass in a 6.5" component package.

sorry about you feeling like i jacked your thread bro, but aren't we on the same mission here? the quest for the holy component set, all the while keeping a budget in mind? what if i wired a set of rainbow coaxials in the rear decks, and a set of those rainbow slx 256 deluxe components in the doors, all to the ppi art series 300 watt 2 channel, would that work right without blowing stuff? and yes, mb quart components do have a harsh tingy sound to them, i bought them from a friend who had 2 sets of nice ones in each door of his honda civic, and it was quite loud, very clear, but painful at times. i listen to a lot of calm music, so i'm looking for speakers to fit that need.
