i lost my soldering tip thing, and my weller's tip is broke, so i have no way to install my god damn radio because butt connectors aren't staying on for power and ground... so much for having the system in this week huh?

yeah i haven't had a system since 05. been trying to get my system together then intall it, but money issues keep coming up. and the fact i've never built a box (but have a table saw and tools to do it) and i need some kickpanels 'glassed up (but don't know how to glass tho i've read some tutorials). supposed to get some local people to help me out since we have a car meet the 17th. i can't stand listening to my passenger coaxial buzzing all the time. driving me nuts. oh and i need a big ass drill bit to redrill my firewall out to fit 1/0 wire thru it. 4ga works but i'm gonna be running 2-3kw. also need my big 3 done and my engine bay is a tight fit. :argh :help:

don't use a normal drill bit to put 1/0 through your firewall you will get injured. i can almost guarantee it.

I would almost suggest running it underneath the car. That is how I did my show car a few years back. It is almost impossible to hide the wiring.

u can run it inside but i ran mine down the middle of the car. much easier to hide. running it underneath is fine as long as your protect it.

That is very true. We used doubly 0 so I ran it under protected by conduit.

well heres a update.... i was installing the radio... got the wrie stuff working (just no ipod adapter).. went on the the metra kit, that went well for a while, when i wen tto put it in the screws that the hold the side bracket on were blocking, so i trie to get aroudn it.. didn't work, anyway, i realized that it was too late and i had tto get to work so i start cleaing up the 100 or so metra peices scattered around, put everything in to a plastic bag and started to take it into the house. well, the bag tore, the radio fell, cracked, and is now in the trash. fun huh? can't wait til i get my tax return. i'm going to get a new radio then i guess.. that sucks cause now i can't hear my system this week :(

btw bill, box looks awesome. a few dents (from shipping?) but not bad enough for me to send it ack or anything. althoug those damn peanuts flew out of the ports while i was doing the radio, i ahd to take a break to pick them out of my neighbors yard.
