okay so today is the day i quit bisshing... i've got most of my panels pulled already.. jus thad to get on the computer to buy my battery terminals. so monday or tuesday i'll actually be listening to music in my truck

If ya want it done right, ya gotta do it yourself :) I remember for awhile, I was only listening to music through mids. That was pretty annoying. That sure got my butt in gear to get everything setup the right way.

lol.. well its almost done right... ran int o a few minor problems:

- the wiring and dash kit some shop sold me was the wrong one.. i could swear they said yes to "are you sure this is going to fit right?", so now i have no radio. i wasn't going to tear the dash apart again just to listen to music for another day
-i couldn't get the carpet to come up to hide my wires... i ran out of time so i just threw them in the back seat. i'll hide them this weekend.
- no battery terminal... i was giogn to go back to the shop, but ater he told me $190 to run some wires, i was like fizzuck that dawg. maybe if i was rich.

maybe billy will start slacking off at work and tell me how to run all these damn wires (4 speaker wires, 3 rcas, 1/0 power) to the back..

btw, the blazer was SO MUCH EASIER to work on than i thought. oh, and bill, i don't know if your truck is the same butall i had to do to get my 1/0 through the firewall was pop off a little rubber thing and stick it through there, no drilling required. (that damn step bit is expensive too.. shit). all the panels came off with ease, i figured they'd be a PITA.

so right now my biggest issue is getting these wires under the carpet... halp! :P

that is a big problem with the wires. the blazer has no room for hiding them. i ended up unbolting the seats and running it underneath them. u can kind of sneek the wire through on the passanger side but the sill panels wont go all the way down.

arg.. well i'm giong to have to make it work, even if its uglyfor a while. the saturn was perfect for running wires, you couldn't tell. i'm not going to have time to take out the seat, but you also have more wires going back there im guessing. i'll jsut route it around the seatbelt bolt there on the floor.. it won't look as pretty but it'll work for now and thats what counts... what do i need to get the seatbelt shit unbolted?

And theres another thing that is better in a Jeep... you can hide wires under the trim panels!! I have 1/0 and 4g under one side!!!

And i totally know how you feel since you have had no bass/system. I have had my sub out for 2 days now and it makes me sad. And i shipped her off last night too, oh i'm gonna miss that piece of beauty.

Stop complaining, I was planning on having everything in last august, but financial things got in the way and I didn't get everything in until this past week. Lol, but good luck with running the wires and all. If my car had been in better condition, hiding wires might have been easier. You can freakin see the RCAs on my passenger side because of a huge chunk of missing plastic.

EDIT: Which reminds me that I need to get some duct tape or electrical tape to cover that.
