ok heres how the day went....woke up at 4am ate, went to meps took my physical for about 3 hrs. passed that. well then the army called my name and gave me the list of mos's they had i didnt like any of them i toild him either you give me a welding job or a mechanic job or im not joining. well he triued really hard for me to sign a 6 yr infantry with a 20,000 bonus i told him i can make that in less than 5 months when i get outta job corps. he kept on trying to pressure me into signing that....i said for the loast time you give me either one of those 2 or im not joining.and he kept on....i said NO! then walked out

Get into the Navy and do that in the belly of the ship!

They tried recruiting me hardcore when I was a senior. I refused...

Yanno, at first it honestly sounded cool. Traveling around in a pond in a ship, doing what I do. Then it dawned on me... I might be out in the middle of the ocean, trying to make good parts in an emergency situation, with bullets flying into the ship, torpedos, etc...

Just wondering what did you get on your ASVAB. Because, a mechanic is usually a job they try to get everyone into. Welding however is pretty hard to get because there are really not to many welders in the Army. Like in most motorpools there may be lets say 30 mechanics and no welders, because they are only with the special mechanics that put in new engines and stuff like that.
