If you don't get it, give your local UPS office a call. You can usually drive down and pick it up when the driver gets back. The guy at the office can tell you when the driver it supposed to be back for you to pick up.

Dear Chris:

Thank you for your inquiry regarding tracking number 1Z4064140371894419.
I have checked the status of your Ground shipment in our UPS Online Tracking system, and it shows that this shipment was last scanned as out for delivery on 01/04/07, and has missed its scheduled delivery date. As such, an investigation needs to be initiated.

You may either contact the shipper, or follow the steps below to enter an investigation. I recommend that you contact the shipper, since you, as the receiver, may not have all of the necessary information to initiate this investigation.

If you are registered at ups.com, you can report a lost package at:
http://www.ups.com/claims

Once you are logged into the Claims section of ups.com, select “Report a Lost Package”.

You may also obtain online help about claims at:
http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/resour ... p/faq.html

If you are not registered with ups.com, you may do so at:
https://www.ups.com/myups/registration?loc=en_US

If you need help to process your request, please contact us at 1-800-PICK- UPS (1-800-742-5877).

I apologize that you have not received your package.

Please contact us if you need additional assistance.

I use DHL for priority shipping of sensitive documents... and they are great, UPS is better than Fed ex most of the time in my area in CT... In PA, UPS sucks, and so does FedEX... They just have crappy service in some area's, and a lot of the time it has nothing to do with the drivers, most of the time its the depot, and the People who load the trucks up... Thats where a huge majority of mixups happen... I have a friend who works for UPS and he has told me numerous times that he has had Packages find its way onto his truck that were not even close to being on his route, and most of the time he just drives back to the Depot and has it resorted... If its close by but a little off the beaten track he will go and deliver it if it isnt too late.

Another thing, being a UPS Driver is really a thankless job, and I have never run into one of them that has been unkind to me. Really i give them a lot of respect and friendliness because i know that their job can be really demanding as well as have a lot of outside factors influence whether they get their packages delivered on time or not.

It's really been one of those weeks.

Got through all the steps to file a claim, and then when I submit it.
I get this

UPS Claims is temporarily unavailable. Please return and try again later.

Did you try going down to the local UPS hub yet... sometimes it gets put to the side and never makes the truck... and they'll usually send someone back to look for it... I know it still doesn't make ya feel any better, but anything that might help ya get it.
