Its hard enough to talk about politics without making a debate turn into bickering. Lets leave religion out of it.
If you'd like to have a debate on rather or not Bush is a God fearing man or if God even exist lets do so in another thread.
if I remember right, I started this thread. Whether or not God exists is up to you...only you will find out.

Religion is a part of Bush, he openly discusses it. So this is perfectly within the ....shit.

Moderators...shut down this thread...obviously no body on here can take a joke...therefore, I wish either this thread be closed...or...removed entirely.

now...who has heard the 9861/h701 combo?

When a president openly discusses his faith to a faithless nation...that speaks very highly of him. Is he lying, only God can judge that. None of us can. Lest we be judged too.
I must respectfully disagree. Your previous post suggested that Bush was morally superior to Clinton because Bush seeks guidance from God while Clinton gained sexual gratification from someone other than his wife. I simply stated that Bush's morality may be in question since he lied to the country for the purpose of justifying a war, which has resulted in the loss of thousands of American and Iraqi lives and an even greater number of serious debilitating physical injuries.
If Bush were to seek guidance from Allah rather than a Christian deity would you perceive his 'morality' as being any different? In my opinion, an individual's actions are more indicative of his or her morality than any self-proclaimed religious affiliation.
I know you believe that the ultimate judgment will come from God, but you ironically made your own judgment apparent in your statement while hypocritically stating that only God can judge a man's actions. And saying that "only when he is at the judgment will his actions have weight" blatantly disregards the number of lives lost in this war that are based on the president's actions. To me that carries weight, and I'm sure it does with the family and friends of those who lost their lives fighting this war. As a nation we certainly can judge the president's decisions and actions because we live in a representative democracy and our elected officials represent each and every one of us, despite our vast philosophical differences. To deny this right is to violate the very core of what makes America great]The fear of a nation??? Where did that come from? The nation first supported his action...and the media then reported no WMD's...yet there is first hand knowledge of that here on this website by soldiers there IN the battle. Now the country hates him...they first supported him, then they turned his back on him as soon as some fat hollywood director showed media propaganda rather than posting the truth, cause quite frankly...Truth is boring.

People of our nation feared for their own security after the horrific attacks on 9/11, and Bush utilized that fear to support a personal agenda of vindicating his father and overthrowing a terrible dictator. While I agree that Hussein needed to be removed from power, I didn't agree with the manner in which that task was initiated. Bush hastily fashioned an invasion based on evidence he knew was suspect, and he placed our service men and women in a dangerous position without regard for their lives or potential negative outcome that could (and has) occurred. To me that is a grave misuse of power by our government (including congress) and it does not promote the best interest of our nation or the world.
I am greatly indebted to our servicemen and women who sacrifice their safety and lives for our nation, and I will continually support their actions and dedication to our country. But I'll be damned if I don't hold our elected officials responsible for ensuring that they are making the most educated and MORAL decisions for the very individuals who are directly experiencing the drastic consequences of those decisions.

I think I know what Joe is trying to say.

Why would a god fearing man start a war he didn't truly believe in?

And that’s what really matters. We all agree Sadam needed to go. We agree he had chemical weapons. Hell I can name 3 times we have ran into chemical weapons, since the end of the war. Sure its not the tons of it we know he had, but I have a pretty good idea were it is. Its setting next door, along with all the other weapons he didn't want us to find or destroy.

Ok back to my point. Did Bush believe he was doing the right thing? None of us really know, but looking at it from my personal experience I think he did.

Let me explain.

I know I killed people, probably more than a few. How could I be a god fearing man, and live with that knowledge. Well, its simple, I believe in my reasons for going.

And I hope the same goes for Bush. If he believes in his reasons for going to war than so be it. Yeah it sucks 3000 people have died, and I don’t really care to be one of them. But if my life saves one of yours, or helps make Iraqi, or the world a better place. Then my loss would be worth it.

Here is a question for you all. If Iraqi deosn't want us there so bad, why isn't the fighting worse outside of the sunni triangle, and why are 50% of the people fighting from countries other than Iraqi?

Most of Iraqi is glad sadam is gone. Hell go ask the kurd up north if he wants sadam back, and tell him he won't have electricity or running water again, and see what he says?
