i was under the impression that a mono amp, with two sets of speaker inputs, has them wired in parallel internally. that way two SVC 4 ohm subs can be connected to each terminal, resulting in a single 2 ohm load for the amp. basically for ease of wiring.
in your case, since you have dual voice coil 4 ohm subs, if they are wired in parallel and connected to each terminal, they would each present a 2 ohm load each, resulting in a final 1 ohm load for the amp. and im not so sure that amp can handle a 1 ohm load.
if you wire each sub in series, for an 8 ohm load each, and connect each to the amp, you should be giving each roughly 400w rms, since that amp is ratd at 787w rms @ 4 ohm. this would be the same as the illustartion brent gave, except that shows wiring each 8 ohm load in parallel before the amp and presenting a single 4 ohm load to one set of terminals.

hmmm
so i should rewire each sub in a series circuit for each box terminal? i believe my amp is actually rated 600rms.1 @ 4 ohm and 1200rms.1 @ 2 ohm. then how should i do the wires to the amp to sub?

ok ok
ok i just opend my subs and this is what they are like. the box is seperated in 2 chambers. each sub is wired parallel but not the 2 subs together. each parallel circuit sub connects a pos and neg wire to the box terminals. can i keep them this way or should i wire them differently. my mono amp is 600.1@4ohms and im lookin to get 300 to go to each sub
