I download off of giganews, and use newsbin for giganews as my reader.

I love it, no viruses, and you can find about anything you could dream of.

I pay newsbin 3 bucks a month for unlimited searches so I don't have to download headers, and giganews 12 a month for 35 gigs in downloads.

usenet is faster
for torrents i use a vpn and that slows it down even more than it already is
sometimes its really fast but usually its slower
been trying to get dias de nietzsche em turim for a while using utorrent no seeds only dht its been 2 weeks im at 74% normally i can have a movie in 12-15 minutes oh well ill wait might even buy it

ive read that down in the states allot of isps are doing bandwidth throttling on torrents and blocking usenet access

My ISP sent me a nice letter informing me that my kids dowloaded some movies via Limewire and that they were keeping a log of what and when they download. Needless to say that log would be hard to refute, so no more Limewire for my kids. I personally use Easynews here at the office, due to the fact we have a 20Mb connection.

Thats something else I like about giganews. For 5 bucks more a month I get 10 more connections and encrypted download, so they can't tell what i'm downloading.

i heard that illegal downloading is getting so out of hand that they are planning on charging for internet by useage, not a flat rate, and that now they havnt been persuing illegal music downloads anymore because of it. anyone heard anything about this?

"Oh my. I have no idea what happened. It must be someone using my unsecured wireless access point for my home wifi network! Oh dear!"

-Refuted.
Charges dropped.
