If Ryan doesnt do it than somebody else well...
The only thing you can really do is:
Explain to the customer that they will be disappointed and you're not willing to do the install. He may bad mouth you to all his friends and possibly cause a loss in future business...
That or he maybe understand that youre just trying to help him out in the long run, takes your advice on the situation and bam, you have a loyal customer for life! :happy055:
Or
Install it and try your best to over come most of the negatives. Hopefully the customer is happy and recommends you to all his friends which results in a huge increase in business.... :happy055: That or you fail and it sounds like @ss, he get's p*ssed and tells all his friends that you suck, which results in future loss of business...
Thats about all you can do. Either choice can back fire and bite you in the @ss resulting in a loss of business and gain you a bad rep, or protentially gain you alot of future business and an awesome rep.
I'd just beat the kids @ss for putting me in the situation.

I bet I can... Give me a box tuned to 36hz and one tuned to 42hz I will tell you which is which.... All I need to do is shut the subsonic filter off and run a few test tones...Bwcad1 wrote:I'd bet you a lot of dollars that you cant tell the difference between a box at 42hz and 36hz.
Now on music, ehh, maybe not.

Yes I wont be able to hear a difference of 42 to 36... But if he doesnt have subsonic filters the subs will...
I finished up the box design and fired off a picture of it to the guy.
We had a chat about it. I explained to him this isnt a clean cut/dry situation as he has two different sets of subs and two different amps. Also making it difficult, not enough room...

If he doesnt have a built in ssf I would highly suggest that he pick up a few f-mods, or at very least tune low (low, low 30's!)Ryan from Ohio wrote:Yes I wont be able to hear a difference of 42 to 36... But if he doesnt have subsonic filters the subs will...

All this stuff is already in place and in use. So he fully knows what he has at this point.

screw it, a ghetto setup like this deserves about 4 cubes sealed and your done....i get a lot of ghetto rides in my shop and thats what i do. they all come in with a pair of kicker comps and a pair of audiobahns and a couple sony xplod amps and think they got king kong in the trunk when im done....you cant polish a turd, even though mythbusters proved that you can get a low sheen out of modified poop....
