Well...since the kicker comp vr's come in a dual 4 ohm voice coil configuration (just checked the site so i kno they do), then why not get them in dual 4 ohm.
You could wire them in parallel/series and get a 4 ohm final load, thus giving each sub 300 watts which should be plenty in a ported box.
I would like to see where u are getting the figure of 450-500 watts by turning the gain down and keeping the head unit below volume 19.

because if your head unit isnt at full volume your amp isnt gonna sending the subs full power, this is how i was able to use my 1200 watt amp on a stock alt before. My head unit goes up to 24, 1200/24 = 50, 50 x 18 = 450 watts.
Or isnt it possible to calculate how much you would be using like that? Circuitcity doesnt have em in 4 ohm, they only carry the 2 ohm, and I dont have the cash to go and just get new comps.

I think he's stuck with Circuit City Kickers as an upgrade from his Infinty's. That right Mith?
After browsing Circuit City's site I think you'd be better off selling those Infinity's and getting another job, hehe, and saving up for a Brahma or something. At the rate your going your gonna nickle and dime yourself to death.
Good things come to those who wait.
