Jon's right, most of the time these things can be worked out just by sitting down and talking it out... You just have to remember to give each other room to blow off steam and give things time to calm down before attempting a rational conversation.
We used to have fights with our daughter's all the time, but we also had a very open dialog about everything, so they knew sometimes we'd get upset (but speaking as a parent, it's better than knowing nothing at all)... And sure at times we may have been overly critical with rules around the house, but after all it was our house so many times after they had time to cool down they could sit down with us and come up with a mutual agreement on things... You have to understand that your parents will always be parents even if you move out and will always worry, criticize, but if you keep an open line of communication, they will always be there for you too ;)

Don't worry some day you'll be a parent in the same boat and look back... and if all goes well now, when you do you'll probably laugh :D

Simple communication will fix most problems. I am glad to hear that everything is getting worked out. Don't lose focus. Keep the open dialogue and everything will work out fine.

Happy Holidays!

absolutley, the most important thing is that you learn as you go along.

I will keep you in my prayers, and just remember when your shoulders ain't big enough to bear the load, God's are, lean on him. that is what he is there for.

Keep your head up.

It is hard sometimes thinking of holidays past with loved ones that are no longer with us. I know that my Dad passing years ago has stayed fresh in my mind each time I have a family function that I know he would have loved being there.

OP, I don't know you yet, but I wish you all the best. Just know that no matter how tough life gets, there are always better days ahead. Sometimes you have to be put on your ass to figure out where to go next. I have been there before. Trust me when I say get your sh!t together and worry about #1 first and foremost. You cannot be helpful to anyone if you are a burden on everyone. I was there when I was 18. I was a POS (not saying you are) and it took me a few years to grow up. I am 34 today with a decent life ahead of me. We have all been down that road and made our share of mistakes. It is what you do now that matters.

Cheers!

I'm wishing you the best of luck and keeping you in my prayers.
People seem to have the best and worst emotions over the holidays and it is very often difficult with such heavy swings back and forth.

Well maybe its time to stay out then.

Its not fun and its not easy.

Best thing I can tell you is to find the cheapest apartment you can- preferably one that needs work. That way you can make it into what you want and the landlord usually deducts your materials off rent :)

Thats what I did and still do. My rent is insanely cheap also...

My mom usually has break downs around Christmas. So I feel you there.

All will work out in the end. just try to do the right thing.
