I e-mailed RE Sales like 2 mins ago to see how much they can score me a pair of RE12s for.
You will most defiantly want to call them. If you really want some RE's get into the group buy. They will be 70 bucks shipped each. http://www.soundillusions.net They have thier own fourm over there. The group buy doesn't start till Dec 5th.

The price in the manufacturers pricelist thread says 76$ which is definately better then 130$ apiece US that I thought at first. Anyways.. Thanks again for all the speedy replies and whatnot. I had my HX2 in 3 different sealed enclosures and the all sounded like crap. Built my present ported 1.78 cu ft box and it has hit strong and clear for the last 5 or so years. Old school Rockford Punch series or pro series are the only ones I have seen that would perform in a sealed enclosure to my liking.

Wow.... $700 for a pair of subs...
Man I'm glad I'm not a bass head... Close to 140db's is plenty loud for me & SQ subs capable of that much output are available for less than $300 for the pair...

While I don't care for RF speakers lines... I do find that they are still making great mid-highend amps...

no they can't... they have some sort of policy where they won't cut like that. or they're not supposed to anyway. (the guy at lowes did it for me, but he wasn't supposed to.. said he can ge get introuble for it). plus i already have mdf.

If you are getting a new sub, you will have to get a new box. Or look for a diff kind of 13" sub. or 13.5" which ever one.
my skills & tools arenr't up to it
Actually it;s not hard at all. Your local home depo can make cuts for you too. So you wouldn't need any saws.

not sure what the display models are,but they're terrible at best buy. every few months the crap out, the cone cracks up.. iknow its beat on but still.

Thats interesting. I had 2 Punch HX2's in a sealed box and hated them. But to each his own. Rockford was much better in the mid 90's then they are now.

I am not too sure about the new line Rockford has put out (I agree the 1's and 2's look pretty cheap) but I love my Power DVC 12" (I have been running it for 5 1/2 years). And the guys I know love their Punch HX2's and Power HX2's. From 1 or 2 years ago. You can pick them up on Ebay all day long for decent prices.
