Rockford Fosgate?

Is this a good Car Audio Company? I've been looking at a bunch of their stuff, and they seem to be lower end but not crap audio equipment. Mainly was looking at Their 6.5" Triaxial Speakers (P163C), 10" Subwoofer (P110S4), and their 2-Channel Amp (P2002). Please can I get some feedback on whether or not their electronics are quality? Thanks!

Rockford Fosgate used to be an awesome company. I would say they are still a good company, but there are better ones out there.

I personally dont like their subs. I owned a pair and did not like the sound quality at all. Their amps, IMO are good tho.

What exactly are you looking for in a system? SQ, SPL? Price range? Maybe we can guide you a little better.

Overall, I agree they are a good company, but as said above, definately don't stand out anymore. As for their subs, I've listened to the P1, P2, and P3. P1 and P2 are junk. The SQ and SPL difference from the P2 to the P3 is huge. So, lowest RF line on subs to go would be the P3. For an inexpensive sub, my favorite is the Boston Acoustics G2 series.

X2 on what they said, if you were gonna go with RF, stick with their upper models. If you are looking for good quality but not expansive, look into the Resonant Engineering RE subs, great products for the price. Elevation audio comps would suit you well too.

yea thats what i would have to say elevation audio comp 12's are damn good subs for the money... talk to justin from detroit or devin sinner of sinister audio depending on where you are!

I'm looking for something better then what I have lol. Which is not hard... but I don't have alot of cash to play with is all. I don't want super bass cuz I listen to all sorts of music and enjoy my acoustics still! 10' Sub are more my style in regards to bass. I have an e-coustics amp already for the 6.5" Speakers. So yea basically... my system needs are as follows:

1) Cheap cuz Im going to school and dont have much cash left over. Maybe 800$ Canadian to spend.
2) Be able to play all ranges of music well.
3) Don't want super powerful system as my car has small battery/alternator.(89 Honda Civic, Prob 600 Watt Max on both Subs)

I'll give you what I have to the best of my knowledge.

6.5" Speakers Sony Xplods

2x 10" No Name Subs. 150 Max Watt. (These are hella shitty.. got em from some excess warehouse for 80$ Canadian for the pair.)
The e-coustics amp on the Sub since I had a Thump POS on it before.

So yea as you can see I'm hurten... I just put all that stuff in cuz it was all that I could afford at the time. Each of those items were under 100$ Canadian.

Because this is a great site, and everyone is welcome. Eh, even Canadians :)
Anyway, I dunno were you live in Can, but shipping shouldn't be to much, I had an amp shipped from there for I think about 20-25. Like mentioned before you don't have to much to spend. I dunno Can money to US money, but the Elevation audio Comps are only $100 US each. http://www.soundillusions.net They are having a group by on RE audio stuff, they are selling RE 10's for I think 50 bucks each, and are great drivers BTW I run four 8's, and love them.

As for an amp, to run ether the RE's or the Comps, a JBLbr 150.2 would suit those. 300rms X1, and I'm pretty sure that goes down to 1 ohm. That amp shouldn't cost more then $100 bucks ehter. Check ebay for that tho. Unless, http://www.cardomain.com still sells them. If they do, I think they are refurbished tho, but that doesn't really matter.

The only thing your looking for is an Amp/Sub combo?
