New Addition to the Fleet

Post by cargodz »

Ok well last night we got a new addition to the fleet... A 1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager... Not exactly to my tastes, but in essence it was free... the Mercury Sable in the picture was givin to us by my parents (side note: I hate that car) and the deal is that I fix the Mercury (again) and sell it off and give the money from it to my folks in exchange for the van... My wife loves her new van :thumbsup

Also in the picture is a 1997 VW Golf VR6... Not mine, but as much as I work on it it's almost like I share it with the owner :p LOL

Yes Ryan, It's back again... this time for the alarm install.

good job, the sables were bad for the trannys and heads, the vans more so for the trannys. Havent changed on in the newer body style yet, but the old ones were easy, I'm talking 2-3 hours working medium paced.

Yeah the Sable has been bad all over... that's why I said it had to be fixed again :p
And I know my uncle... That's who had the van before... he Always had it maintained... Oh as an added plus that I forgot to mention, the van is the All Wheel Drive model :)

Nope... There are actually quite a few minivans that came with an AWD optional model... Quick rundown of the ones I can think of off the top of my head:
Astro
Uplander
Lumina/ Venture
Silhouette
Transport/ Montana
Grand Voyager
Grand Caravan
Town & Country
Freestyle
Aerostar
Sienna
I'm sure there's more, especially when you consider crossovers like the Aztek and Tribeca... and if we have to own a minivan, at least this one is loaded :thumbsup ... Gee, wonder if my wife would notice a couple of 15"s in the back :p LOL
