Unbelieveable!

Post by Ryan from Ohio »

4+ years ago I date a girl who went bipolar on me (shes crazy). Went through all the court deals. I put a restraining order on her. She tried to put one on me to, but it failed as there was no basis (I didt do anything wrong).

Tonight I just got served another restraining order from her.

Apparently she works at the new Menards that just opened up a few weeks back. As many know and have read, I redid my kitchen floor. All the items I purchased came from said store. So she is claiming I am harassing her at work. Trouble is, I wouldnt know what she looked like if she was in a lineup. Its been over 4 years... Ive got a bad memory for stuff I dont care about anyhow... lmao.

Im all for staying away from her. No argument there, shes a fricking lunatic. What I have a MASSIVE problem with is the restraining order does not allow me to posses a firearm. While I dont own a gun, I full heartedly believe in my right to bear arms- if I so choose to. I do not take it lightly when someone tries to take away my right. So I am deeply upset with this order.

I go before the court Friday the 23 @ 3:30. I will be representing myself once again, just like the last time.

Here we go again!

Wow does that suck... I mean if anyone is harassing anybody, it would be her annoying you once again... Oh and I can tell you this much, Menards has cameras everywhere except the bathrooms.

I figured they did.

I contacted a lawyer this morning. Obviously there is no issue of me being in any trouble, she is just "fearful of getting into trouble with the law and/or me harassing her". The later part is ludacris, first part understandable.

She was the agressor and I was the victim, she paints a different picture on the report... lol... But I guess thats why crazy people are crazy!

Im just concerned about loosing my right to a gun.

I'm pissed off for you man.

A thought that went through my head was, how would the store enjoy knowing one of their employees was filing restraining orders on their customers over a psychotic vendetta.

Write down everything that you can remember her doing to you, with the dates if possible. If you can back those dates with records that would be even better. It would show the judge a pattern of her behavior.

Everytime you remember something, write it down.

I don't know how far you're planning on going with this, but if you decide to really take this into your own hands, I'd threaten that if she doesn't drop it, you're going to press charges of harrassment or slander for the restraining order with no reason. She's not only wasting your time and the court's time, but she's slandering your public image by making up ridiculous shit. She's also denying you your rights (as you mentioned). Maybe talk to other people who work at Menard's that would testify for you and I'd say it's pretty much a done deal.

Ive thought about calling the store to inform them about it. If I do and she gets fired Im afraid she might try suing me or some strange stuff. Or plain old go crazy again...

Yeah, I'd definitely hold off informing the store about her using there business as a means of harassment. It'll just enable her to form a basis in justifying the restraining order.

The store isn't really involved in the matter, so I think that would be a bad decision.

I hope you have a good lawyer because even though you were the victim in the original RO the law always favors the woman because plain and simple, not to be sexist, but they feel like they are always victimized and seen as weak.

Thats why women usually can get the most out of divorce settlements and especially women who are sex offenders...
