Hows that X-pipe sound, what kind were you getting, or was it custom? Been contemplating it, not positive what I want to do as some work well and some sound like absolute crap depending on design. Kickass setup, by the way :)

X pipes sound fantastic.. better than H pipes in my opinion and to most people I've spoken with regarding RB block Mopars anyway.
I forget who makes this one actually. I have a local shop fabricating the exhaust system for me. They owe me a favor for getting their computer system set up at tehir shop which I did for free one day when I had the time. I knew I'd need their help later haha
I wanted everything welded up. Not just clamped.

Turbulent flow actually results in a greater volumetric throughput than laminar flow even though it's coefficient of resistance from friction with the walls is higher. It has a greater "average" velocity profile. So... in theory you can actually make an argument that mandrel bent is bad because mandrel bent piping is smooth enough that laminar flow can result. This will theoretically reduce the overall flow rate.
Granted mass flow isn't affected even if volumetric flow increases, but it should work out well. I figure the X pipe diameter reduction should add that turbulence.

Plus with those fat huge 20" super turbos, that thing is going to purr like a kitten.

If someone wants to play with me, I can flip a switch or three, and flip the exhaust gates to open headers, enable the line-locks, heat up the tires, purge the N2o, then turn on the Trans-brake.
If I spool her up to about four grand and hold her there with my foot mashed to the floor, I'm thinking the other guy is going to start having thoughts about turning into the next parking lot to find a public restroom along about that time.

I figure I'll be pulling a sub 1.5s 60' and a quarter in the low 11s.
That should be enough to keep most of the kids in place. Not the fastest thing, but fast enough.

audiofreak, all said and done, the whole car project shouldn't run me over about $25k. It's pretty cheap for it's performance.. considering what a car made today would cost with similar specs anyway.. if you could even find a modern car that's 17' long and 6' wide that can pull eleven second quarters and easily hold 5 or 6 people and all their stuff. It's really not such a bad investment.. plus I have the rarity of a car that appreciates in value instead of losing money every year :)

Ahhh...muffler bypass. I love the way that sounds on a big ol' v8. A few of my buddies have them. Its addicting (to us at least).

decided to forego the bypass valves as with the exhaust I set up, they won't add anything but weight. The system I set up is zero restriction already.. so it's the same as open headers for performance, with less noise.
