Somebody down the street from my dads house already has their Christmas lights on... according to my dad they turned them on last weekend :surprised
And one of the local plant/ tree stores is already advertising for fresh cut trees... if that's not bad enough, you could get a picture taken with Santa already there this weekend.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not tryin to be a humbug, but it's bad enough that the advertisers/ stores have been going on about Christmas for the last month already (even before Halloween), but I guess I'm just to old fashioned and traditional when it comes to gearing up for Christmas... Santa comes at the END of the Thanksgiving day parade and lights should not be turned on till that night... Maybe I should buy double the amount of Christmas cards this year so I can get next years out by Valentines day :p

Every year the stores are doing this earlier and earlier.

Wal Mart had Christmas stuff up and going by Halloween. I think the retailers are worried about not making the sales this year due to the craptastic economy. Which they are probably right...

Its going to be a small Christmas this year, very small :p

And with gas prices the way they are... they probably should be... Who wants to go bouncing store to store to find the best deals when you pay more for gas than gifts... I went passed a station yesterday that had the highest I've seen yet here... $3.38 a gallon for regular :surprised

Maybe this Christmas everybody in the family will just get Gas Cards :p
