I have installed 2 of these subwoofers http://www.cdtaudio.com/pdf/EF-100%20sp ... maters.pdf in a sealed box (~1.50 cubic feet, separate chambers) powered by this amplifier http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fus ... uct_ID=475
Because he didn't feel my subs were performing well at all, the person who I hired to straighten out my system (Ryan from Ohio, great job!) used a multi-meter to check the voltage on the amp. He said it was only putting out .6 volts. He took the subs out, checked all the connections, soldered the speaker wires to ensure good, clean connections. He said that, even though these subs aren't the best in the world, they should hit fairly hard with that amp powering them.
He believes that there is something drastically wrong with the amp. I bought it about 1 year ago from Indoaudio. This is my first system, so I didn't really know how loud my subs should be.
Ryan also thought it may be a damaged RCA.
Any thoughts???

Well the best way to check off any potential problems is to start with the cheapest fix and go from there... No sense in buying a new amp if its not needed... Get urself a nice set of rca's and send them from the HU to the Amp and see if anything changes... if not check all your wires from the amp to the subs, to the deck what ever.
Also you could always try to put ur Amp in another persons car and check and see if it will drive that persons subs... as long as u are driving them with the correct Impedence... If it doesnt then blammo... there is ur problem... I happen to know that INdoaudio only gives at most 1 year warantee and usually problematic to return items to...
Good luck buddy, If doing all this work is too hard for you, you can always take the amp to a shop and they can Bench test it usually for around $10- $20 and will tell you if it is working correctly or not.

Yes guys.
The subs just werent moving. The subs are at 4 Ohm and pdb says they are 250 wrms a piece. Something was afoot, thats for sure. I wanted it to be an install issue, but everything is just looking good.
It might possibly be the RCA cable. I tested the AC voltage on it and was not getting anything really measurable. My meter doesnt have to good of an AC voltage readout...
Pat, I would try that route first. Pick up the cheapest cheapie RCA and give it a whirl.
If that doesnt make a marked improvement it has to be the amp.
As stated, I tested the ac voltage on the terminal of one sub, it read .6 maximum. Tested on my 150 WRMS eclipse amp on low volume, I was getting 6.1 volts.
Probably a 50/50 toss up here. Its got to be one or the other. If anyone else has any input, nows the time :)
