New System / Help me pick / glasswolf

I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX 4 door and want to put toghether a system. The front doors are 6.5 stock and 6x9's in the rear. Just trying to figure out which amps to use on which speakers/subs etc... Help me put this toghether.

Here is what i have so far :

- Alpine CDA-9813 or Eclipse CD5443 HU's. Leaning more towards the Alpine since it offers built in xovers unlike the eclipse amp. I could also add a Ipod to this deck.

- Eclipse 6 Disc Cd Changer

- Eclipse PA5422 4 channel amp / 85 x 4 @ 4 ohm or 120 x 4 @ 2 ohm / 250 if rear channels are bridged for a sub.

- PPI A600.2

- JL 500/1

- KnuKonceptz 4 gauge amp kit

What i need :

Speakers and Subs / Ive decided to go with Double IDQ12 1.8 cuft sealed enclosure but still need speakers.

What i listen to :

Hiphop, Rock, International, Dance with complex bass lines.

My budget :

$600-700 for the rest of the stuff. Want Loud SQ

eclipse 4 channel amp for front nd rear speakers, 500/1 for subs.

look at Focal for your speakers. they have some really good stuff out now.

Thanks wolf, which focal line you suggest of the front channels and what rear speakers do you suggest ? Ive heard good things about focal except that they are bright in the tweeter department.

Also where should i mount the tweeters from the comp set ? I plan to run the mids in the doors to keep a stealth approach.

with a civic, I'd go with kick pods for both mids and tweeters. keeping them together keeps the signal paths matched. makes for good imaging.
get the best ones you can afford.
as for rears, if you use rears at all, which I usually don't, I'd go with some straight, simple midranges. no tweeters.
might be a good place to stick a pair of midbass drivers instead.

Im going to be using this car to get to work and back mostly which is a 45 miles each way on the busy beltway in MD. My Civic has 235,000 miles on it and still strong which is why i want to invest in a nicer system since i spend most of my week in it.

I was thinking in that case i could just go the coaxial route and keep signalpathes to match like in the kicks that you mentioned and save more money on the total.

Focal makes polyglass comps and coaxials which are better then most other coaxials. Either the 6.5 polyglass comps or 6.5 polyglass coaxials for the fronts.

What midbass speakers do you have in mind ? Any in particular that whould work well with the eclipse 4 channel ? I have no problem passing on the rearfill. If i do pass on it, should i remove the 6x9's or amp them ?

I plan to either go with 2 IDQ 12's or a 12w6v2 sealed either way off the 500/1.

if you have people in back fairly often then I guess you can just put a pair of polyglas 6x9 or 6.5s in back.
the polyglass are fine in front too
