Best amp for these subs..

Post by Main-E-Ax »

2 Memphis Power Reference 12's. they are 4 ohm DVC and rated at 250rms.

I was running them off of a 2000 Watt Pyramid amp that cannot handle these subs. I bridged them at 4 ohms(i thought) and it went straight into protect mode.

Anyways I have been told this amp: http://cgi.ebay.com/PLANET-AUDIO-850-WA ... dZViewItem

Hit me up with ideas!
thanks!

I used to really like planet audio stuff. not sure if its as good as it used to be. but that woud work, especially for $99. Just a few thoughts, maybe a hifonics brutus 606. about 600rms @1ohm perfect for your 2 dvc 12's. or a Massive Audio 500.1, Orion 600d, theres too many decent amps thats would be around the 500-700 rms to list, but there alot of good guys that just happen to be deals for some of those brands, and others that might have some other suggestions.,

Look for an amp that puts out 600 watts rms. At 1-4 ohms.

Whats your price range?

Well you get what you pay for don't forget....If I was you, I'd save up about 200-250 and get a decent amp that will last you awhile. You will only come regreat it later on if you don't.

Are you gonna buy off the internet?? Is ebay an option? If so I'd go that route...
