Welp got an Open Containier Citation today... We have a huge party at the end of the school year here at my school and i was on my porch and the Liqour control board came by and saw me drinking with all my friends who are all 21 and caught me... So needless to say its a damn shame that i get this with 5 months till my 21st bday.
Anyone have any similar problems such as this?

Not sure how the laws are set there, but here if you are in your own house and legally an adult (18+), then you can drink and they can't do a thing about it.... Do you still live with your folks? If so, then if they give you consent to drink in the house and on the property then you may have a loop hole, so you may wanna check your state laws on drinking.

yea ive been looking into the laws on drinking and unfortunately there isnt anything that i can get my hands on to that is on the web... What makes this difficult is that Im from Connecticut and I get the infraction in my College town in Pennsylvania. So I have no clue what to do. I am definitely not paying a $150 fine, and i am thinking about pleading Not Guilty, because everyone around me was 21, and i can defintely play that off to have been handing a beer to someone else. Plus i was on my own porch, minding my own business

because you have enough on your plate at that age without the added responsibility of drinking.ChevyMuscle wrote:i hate this stupid 21 drinking age, if i can join the army and get killed at 18 why cant i drink a fucking beer at 18...but screw them i still drink my occasional budweiser anyways.
kids wreck enough cars without being drunk already.
Trust me, at 18 most aren't mature enough to handle liquor.. as evidenced by all of these reported MIP citations.
The military takes kids at 18 because you're still naive enough to think you're invincible at that age, so they can train you to jump in front of flying bullets a lot easier than they could convince an older person to do the same.
also, better physical health. Things go downhill after 25.

Oh I didn't mean anything personal toward you. I was speaking in general about age, maturity, and being able to handle alcohol, learning to drive a car, puberty, and everything else at that age, regardless of who you are.
First offense, probably not too much, honestly.
