Yup
Just make sure that you are very precise in setting up that amp (use a dmm) and don't push the limits of it... and you'll be very happy with the new set up :)

The SoundStorm amps are very dependable as long as they are set right.
If you crank the gain on them they are prone to overheating, so just make sure when you set your gains that you set them properly using a dmm...
Here's the complete tutorial on setting up an amp with a digital multi-meter in the FAQ section: http://www.caraudiocentral.net/forums/showthread.php?p=72602#post72602
I've been running a Boss Audio (parent company of Sound Storm) for 2 years and know of 3 Sound Storm (and over a dozen Boss) amps that I've installed in customers rides and they've all held up well

That's exactly what I'm sayin Terry... I only know of one that burnt up from my experiences with them and that was cause the kid bought it from me and said he knew what he was doing... He cranked the gain to it's max and then turned it back a half a hair (thinking that was actually the safe thing to do, like it was a volume knob). Needless to say, he burnt it up in less than a week and came back screaming and hollering about it being a junk amp... I then asked how many amps he had installed previous to this one... He replied "I helped 2 of my buddies before."... Me "Did you actaully set everything on theirs, or just run wires?"... Him "Yeah, I ran all the wiring and they set up their own stuff cuz they gotta listen to it."...
Then I went out and saw the amp in the car with the gain fully cranked and asked him what he thought that was for... He replied "It's for turning up the bass".... Wrong answer
... He learned a hard lesson that day, and I installed his next one... But keep in mind that can happen with even the nicest amps with the wrong settings.

on the side of your amp, usually recessed a lilttle, will be a knob. not the remote bass control that comes with it, leave that mostly alone also. but the recessed knob will say something like 1-6 v-. what it is is a setting to match the output voltage from your headunit to your amp. just because its 3/4 or turned a little down doesn't mean its set right. If your lost as far as using a dmm. just find a local shop, I can't imagine they charge you to set the gain for you, if they did it'd cost less than buying a new amp... good luck man.
