Just a quick question, it is possible to run 4 speakers off an amp and 4 speakers off the head unit, correct?

thats 8 freaking speakers!!!! It would make for a horrible sound stage. Music would be coming at you from every direction, but probably loud. And half the speakers will be louder than the other half because your hu only does 20 watts, if that, and most amps do 50-100.

Its just in a car environment, its best to invest into a set of really nice front speakers. and if you have to, whatever speakers in the back for rear-fill will work.

In our faq section (here - http://www.caraudiocentral.net/forums/f ... ay.php?f=8 ) there are a few threads about speakers and the best way of going about setting them up.
