Just installed this in my friends girlfriends car. Damn thing wouldn't turn on, it turned out that it was the antenna wire not being connected that made it not turn on. Anyone ever had this happen?
We plugged that antenna back in, and it turned right on.

Are you sure you've got it grounded properly... It may be using the antenna as an alternative ground and this may cause an unwanted noise signal down the line.

i didnt even think of that. we went as far as connecting the harness directly to the battery (+ and -) and it didn't work. so it using the antenna wire as a ground makes sense. ill have to check that out asap.cargodz wrote:Are you sure you've got it grounded properly... ok awesome (well not really lol but you know what I mean). so this leads me to think the actual ground pin on the JVC's harness is busted. Can you put a screw in the side of the radio (in one of the factory holes for mounting) and ground from that to the car?
