Quick PC help

Post by Ryan from Ohio »

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... =TC3J-2232

Is this a good deal?

I see the processor isnt what I want, but I can do with it for time being. No PCI express, bah... I think I can like with 8x AGP... Get an ok Vid card and a hard drive later?

Costs me about $185 now, but 70 if rebates?

Quick!

What do you plan on using it for?
Not to keen on the Celeron Processor.

How much memory does it have? I'm not seeing it listed?

minus memory, hard drive and GFX card.

Ya Im not to hot on the Celeron, but for $100 Im not sure if better can be had.

Im digging the case hardcore... Like it.

Im trying to build a pc on the cheap, want the dual core intel... Just thinking I could buy this as Im saving like $30ish or so by the package and buy the processor I want also.

I got about 400-500 to play with... But can only spend about $200 right at the second...

I think someone else should chime in on it, I'm not too up-to-date on motherboards etc.

Will the processor you want, work with this motherboard?

Don't go intel unless you get Core Duo or better. AMD all the way elsewhere. You'll want minimum 1 gig of ram (Corsair or the likes). 512 really just BARELY cuts it these days.

AGP is totally dead. Don't get a board without PCI express. Period.

About $170 before shipping. The processor and mobo are a combo, you can see it on the mobo page.
