Ok, so its all hooked up.
I got the optical running to the DAC, input one. I got the RCAs running to my amps FRONT input. I have the RCAs right off the deck (Rears) running to the amps REAR input.
NO GOOD.
I get music thru the dac, but the volume is constant, non adjustable.
I unplugged that DAC, as it pissed me off enough.
Cool, playing radio. AMp has a feature to use one set RCAs to run the whole shebang. Nice.
Turn it to CD and she cuts OUT.
Plug back in the DAC. DAC only plays with CDs? But is constant.
Im a bit confused...

Im gonna have a look at the Radios wiring. I might of grabbed the wrong wire for a remote.
THere was a blue, brown and orange... I used the blue. Orange is usually for fading the lighting, which I dont want to do...
ick!

Ok, so I think between Werewolf from ECA and myself, we deduced the problem.
The DAC is used when playing a CD. Which explains the problem I had. So basicly what I need to do is run an RCA from the rear mounted DAC to the Analog Input on the HU and its good to go.
