Bridging a HU?

Post by ZeroAccess »

I have an alpine amp that I was going to bridge and run my front speakers with it and just leave the front speakers unhooked from the HU.
Well then I started thinking how badly would it mess up the audio system if I ran all 4 channels from the HU to the rear speakers?

Dumb Idea? I figure I'd lose some stereo output but with the front being so much louder figured it'd kinda even out.

You really don't need that much for the back if you're working on a good sound quality... you will want all of your sound to be in the front stage... rear should just be mids to midbass for a good sound and not in massive amounts.
