Hifonics ZX4400

Post by DCoaty »

I bought the hifonics zx4400 from onlinecarstereo.com (authorized maxxonics dealer) and I had my friend install it for me (he used to do it proffesionally) it was working fine for 3 weeks and than it just went into protection and I cant figure out the problem, the inline fuse is fine, amp fuse is fine, no signs of charred circuit board, what could possibly be the problem???

Ive had it for almost a month and I have it bridged to 2 channels to power a pair of infinity 12inch subwoofers with 8 guage power and ground in a 1993 ford tempo with all factory electronics

Bill Ill bet that the top 2 channels or Bottom 2 channels blew out... Thats what happend with the kids I installed on... Bridged both of the 4 channels and it was working fine and then it blew out a little bit later... Spent 4ever trying to figure out what it was... If it is blown he can just send it back cause its under warrantee

i blew up an amp MM100.4 cause i was in a hurry on my truck and when i attached the right rear speaker wires and hook it all up it was fine. but then i put down the window on that door and apprently i didnt check to see if the wire was under the window and it pulled the wire right off the speaker shorted out and fried the amp. pulled the case and couldnt find any visible damage.

From what I've seen the 4 channels are way overrated on power output, seems they can handle it for a while....then nothin.
It's still under warranty, send it back to Maxxonics and it'll come back better than new, cause they'll go through and test everything.

I agree with Cargodz on that one big time cause they will resolder and unsoldered or lightly soldered points and replace any of the pieces that need to be
