Should I keep the interior Blue or change it?
I think I may have mentioned to a couple of you, that since I'm not driving the Camaro right now, that I decided to start the dash swap. Going to put a 92 dash in.
Anywho,
I've got the dash out, and pretty much almost everything else.
So one of the things I need to do is redye the carpet. It's in good shape, just faded. I was thinking of just redo it in blue again, but then I started thinking.
I really want to put 4th Gen seats in it, and they don't come in blue as far as I know. I think leather ones only come in dark grey, and cloth ones a light grey. So blue and grey don't sound very good to me.
So now I'm thinking of dying the carpet a dark charcoal and either replacing the interior plastics with grey ones, or dying those too with a dark grey color.
So what do you guys think? Keep it blue, and just put 3rd gen seats back in later on.
Or do the 4th Gen seats and dye everything dark charcoal?
Thanks
Chris.

I say try to find a parts car or something to get the interior out of, it'd probably be cheaper than dying yours... :happy055:Chris from Washington wrote:I think I may have mentioned to a couple of you, that since I'm not driving the Camaro right now, that I decided to start the dash swap. Thats what I'm going to do with the blazer, switching it from blue to black!

The car has a blue exterior, and in 84 they came with blue interiors. Later years I think all came with grey.
Most parts cars I've seen the carpet is just trashed, people just don't take care of these cars. A new molded carpet kit is about $200, and I really don't want to spend too much money on this car either.
Darthness, the Krylon fusion paint actually works pretty well. I did my number plates on my dirtbike and so far it's been holding up pretty good.
I'm not sure how to fix holes in plastic pieces. I have a couple on my rear arm rests, that I would like to fix too. If anyone has an idea, post it.

It's generally easier/cheaper/better to just go buy used panels from a junk yard...Darthness wrote:or you could buy a few cans of paint :P
while we're on this topic, how can you fix cracks and holes and such in panels? is it possible or should i look into replacing it?

EDIT: The kylon fushion paint works awesome, I've used it a few times on dash dezels and stuff of that nature....
