anyone have any comments or reviews about the 10" L7s? Im looking into those subs cause i have limited space behind seat of my truck. It would fit perfectly. Also about amps.....I found good deals on Phoenix Gold and HiFonics, they seem to be a decent product.

im guessing your buying these brand new? If so your paying like $350 dollars right? Well you could get yourself Resonant Engineering SX 10s instead which in my opinion and i believe alot of the board members are build much better and will sound much better and probably get louder as well.

i hear about a lot of problems with hifonics. They also seem to be significantly overrated (in the sense that they dont produce the RMS wattage that they say they do)I would definetly say that phoenix gold makes better amplifiers over hifonics. and if I were buying a product from either PG or hifonics i would feel much safer with PG.

there's lots of brands out there for amplifiers
orion
PG
kicker
mtx
rockford fosgate

check out the FAQ section for the brands list...it's a pretty good reference to go by

id stay away from HiFonics personally, Kicker Solo sqaure subs get loud yes, but they do not sound very good at all while doing so. personally you should look into Adire and Resonant Engineering maybe? while their subs get loud they have pretty good SQ at the same time, my Adire 15" Tempest has pretty good SQ for a 15" id Definately recommend it to anyone. and its less than $170 shipped ($166.28 to me in IL) or maybe some Shiva's or Kodas from Adire. and yes as Mith said look in to the SX line or even the SE line... let us know how much $$$$ you want to spend on subs and we can Definately steer you in the right direction, but if you want to go with the Kickers then you wont be in a great loss, just a great loss of SQ. but it will do the job pretty loudly with the right amount of power and box (L7's that is)

ill check into resonant engineering, ive looked at Adire (especially the Brahma's) but i wont have enough room for Brahma's. I wasnt sure about the Shivas or other subs they make. Ive heard that before about the Kickers not sounding good, im still not sure on exactly how much money i will have, but probably around $200 or less per sub.

I just looked around at OZ, especially on their matrix subs, that is more of what kind of sub i am looking for, about 500 rms. It didnt have a price though? does anyone know how much the 10"s cost?

It would be a tight fit in a sealed box, cause they would have to go behind the seat of my reg. cab truck, MAX mounting depth is probably a little above 6 inches, and the OZ's are 6.5 inches. Ive looked at Audiobahn too, not many people seem to like Audiobahn, why is that? their subs have high rms and peak and are low in price? is there something im missing about Audiobahn?

ive heard of OZ Audio, but nothing about em, no one around here likes Audiobahn because its complete crap. Audiobahn products sound horrible and are cheaply made. look into some RE 8"s. ive been told these little guys pack a punch... or some 8" JL W0's or why not some Kicker 8" L5/L7's?(if thats what you still want). Adire has some 8" drivers you could use also. The Shiva and their other subs(Koda, Tempest...etc..) may not look lime much but trust me, they are very nice subs, i have the Tempest with only a 150rms to it in a 4.3cubic foot box tuned to 28 hz and it gets pretty damn loud and sounds pretty good doing so. and for price you will not find a better 15" brand new in its range. in the end its up to you. look in the FAQ's in the good/bad brand listings. as i mentioned some 8"s above, you have little room to work with and personally ive heard 8" W0's in a ex cab Ford F150. it wasnt bad for some little 8"s. also look into Magnum subs.. im told they are pretty good in small spaces. oh yeah and for Kicker. Definately look into the Comp VR line, nice subs for the money, friend of mine has a Few in his Dakota.

Im looking into the Comp VR's too, they are good reliable and loud subs, my cousin has them in his ford lightning. Comp VR's are my second choice. First choice would be an OZ sub. Kicker im not so sure of after hearing they dont sound too good. Ill narrow it down more next month when i get the money to buy the system, im just shopping now for the best subs and amp combo.

OZ is pretty good stuff. if you can afford them, i'd definetly take themover the comp VR's. VR's a a great choice for the budget though.
