Im Soo Sad!

Post by CaptainPioneer »

OK!!! Soooo if anyone heard about me getting my New FJ Cruiser well i think that there is like a 2% chance of me getting it now... Apparently my insurance would be through the roof, payments hovering at $500 a month, MPG Lower than expected, and to add another preverbial kick in the balls to the equation the price was jacked $5,000 because Toyota doesnt release from the factory, BASE models without all the convieninence group packages. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..... OK SOOOO Anyway ive been looking into other vehicles now because now i am forced to look into something different... I really dont want a CAR. i want a SUV... so apparently Jeep came out with something called a Jeep Compass... needless to say its smaller than the Toyota RAV4. and only a small amount of hp more... prolly gets alot worse mpg too. Well i thought i liked it but i think i might just buy the New RAV4 cause then i can fit my RE SX 12" in it with the box i just built. And besides they are bigger now. Other trucks maybe the new Mazda CV-7 thats comin out soon, not too sure about that... Ford Products usually suck. Cars.... if i have to maybe a new Camry cause they are apparently really nice now... Pontiac G6 Coup GTP... Yea its nice but again im really not into the whole Coup thing, nor am i into the mpg on it. Mazda 6 Has always facinated me, but againg its a Ford product... and besides if i had a 6 i would want the SPEED version and the upgrade is like $6k so forget that! Mini Cooper S... um i dont think i could call myself a man if i drove that.

So give me some options guys maybe u have something i havnt thought of. I really dont wanna go over $26k though and please no Ford or Chevy SUV's i hate them terribly!

Look into a Nissan Murano or possibly a 4runner. You could take a chance and go with something like a used MB ML500 or ML55. Excellent cars...I had the ML500 and an ML320. You could always look into a Durango. Other options, Range Rover HSE 2001-2002 model, Land Rover Discovery, BMW X5 3.0, for $26K your possibilities are broad. My advice is to drive some of these vehicles. Then make a decision based on your feelings and findings. Hell you could look into the Toyota Land Cruiser or Lexus Lx470 on ebay...some are popping up for your price range.

Get a 4Runner, still a good off roader, will last forever, and has a great resale (if for some reason you ever wanted to sell it)

Im with Chris. Stick with Toyota. Get a c.p.o. 4Runner. They are GREAT!!! Sux about the FJ tho. Thats why im waiting to buy mine :thumbsup

Oh, and about the Mini Cooper S...have you driven one? I think you would change your mind about "not being a man" shortly after a test drive. They are fun as hell.
