Hey guys for the past few weeks i have been mulling over getting a fish tank nothing huge but something fun i can put decent fish in. i cant decide if i want to do salt water or fresh. i like salt mainly because i can get meaner fish lol. i dont want lil tetras or goldfish i want bad ass fish like gnars or oscars something of the like. but i dont know much about it. just been reading a bunch. let me know what you think

I know salt water tanks require a lot of effort to keep clean and cost a lot to maintain, but if you have the time and the money then go for it. Salt water tanks always look so much better than freshwater; the fish are brighter in color and there are more varieties. Keep us posted.

Yes Oscars are freshwater, and mean :)
Salt water is a LOT of work and is expensive. It's also hard to keep many saltwater fish alive.

You can get freshwater sharks and stingrays.
I once had a 120 gallon tank. It was 2' square and 4' long...
TO bad our beautiful municipal water here killed about $300 worth of fish in the first four months. SO I drained it and sold her off...
