i have a jl 300/4, the front channels are powering my comps. and the rear channels are powering my subs. (my sub amp blew) but after playing for about 25-30 min, the amp gets extremely hot. could this be because the rear channels are bridged and the front is not. or maybe the subs are wired some crazy ohm load. (mobile one guy did it)?
Amps get hot man, especially if they are class A/B amps. I had an ARC Audio amp that I had playing for about an hour or so. I touched it accidently and it burnt my hand, still have the burn mark from it. Class A/B amps can easily get to 175 degrees+
if you could mount a cast iron griddle directly to the amp, and fry some bacon, I think that would surpass the trunk glassed waffle iron!!! I forget which one of you guys have that, but you gotta admit that would be cool!! "Hey listen to MY stereo, and lets fry some bacon and eggs while we're doing it!"
