Man do those elevation audio voice coils smell bad in the first few hours. actually had to turn it down

yea they do get a lil funky for a while till they break in.....dont know why but they do.....

put some potpourri in the enclosure ports, and crank the stereo.. it'll smell like roses in the car for days.

ya both my Xs smelled bad for about 20mins then popped.
