Worth buying a new Head Unit?

Post by veggie-man »

Alright I have my factory head unit in my car and I’m pretty sure it doesn’t have any RCA jacks. So I bought this adaptor (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_1729.html). So now would it be worth it to buy a HU around $200? I’m not going to be able to get this for a month or 2 because I just paid my car payment and insurance :( . But would it be worth it to buy a new HU instead of using this adaptor?

It is always best to get an aftermarket HU, even if it is a cheap $125 one.

Most definitely. The JL Clean Sweep would probably be the only thing i'd really use in my own vehicle if I HAD to keep the factory HU. Look for a refurb HU on ebay from a reputable seller.

I've a KD-AR860 since mid December, and I like it so far. If i remember right, the only difference between the 860 and 960 is that the 960 has a slot for SD flash memory cards (which i didn't think i'd ever use).

Anyway the point is I like mine
