Hooking up two amps

Post by the_bean_07 »

I was wondering if there is a way to hook two amps to one sub?

If the amps are strabble the manual will say how. Otherwise you will need to hook up one amp to each voice coil. this is NOT something the average person can do. You need to test to make sure the amps are puttint out the exact same amount of power

basically due to tolerances two identical amps will put out slightly different power...this is due to a number of things but its basically the way of the world....there are build tolerances on everything you purchase and especially with electronics everything from the gain pots to the solder batch used on the circuit board can slightly effect specs.....when you run two identical amps to two identical subs it is not as important but when you run two identical amps to a single sub with dvc then it becomes much more important because you want both vc's driven identically
