New rule on signatures READ THIS

Post by Justin from Detroit1 »

ok here is the deal. You guys are starting to use your signatures more, and that is fine. But it needs to be kept under control. We can't have a ton of 1 sentance posts with a signature 10 lines long, so we are making some new rules for signatures.

Banner / Text
You can have a banner in your signature, I really don't care (as long as it isn't offensive to anyone). If you have a banner, you are allowed THREE lines of text below it, no more. It can look like this:

--- BANNER IMAGE ---
TEXT
TEXT
TEXT

That is it, nothing more.

Text Only
If you are only using text in your signature, you can have up to 5 lines of text, all normal font.

Bottom line, if you disobey this rule, your signature will be deleted. If you put it back up without fixing it, you will be put on probation for 24 hours.

What's the reason for three lines only with a banner? Just out of curiousity.

Otherwise the signatures get too long and make the board ugly.

Im assuming 3 lines of text and banner can be in any order? Not just what you specified?

just a suggestion to people...some other boards im on require you to at least list your location which may seem stupid but youd be surprised at how much extra help you can get sometimes if someone else discovers that they are close to you.....i dont think it needs to be a requirement and i dont think there is anyone here in my area but if there were and they needed help it would be easy enough sometimes to have them stop by....

just a thought
