My comp Vehicle

Well guys I have the woofer situation down 4 woofers but Im not saying the brand (u may be surprised)... for the SPL car whatever car it’s in but I need to know. Im going to power each woofer with about 2000 rms. Im leaning toward two Autotek mm2000.1D amps, the subs are dual 2 ohm coil presenting a 1 ohm load to each channel of the Autoteks.

Perfect for those amps, also they are extremely efficient. And that is a major concern as MECA places you by the fuse rating and cone area. I know people running these amps with 40 amp (maxi) fuses, they only problem Im having is the cost lol. Were talking about a serious amount of cash here, anybody have any other recommendations?

So I need a total of about 8000 watts at an extreme efficiency. Let me know what you got for me. I was also looking at the American bass vfl 200 I’ve seen these run down to .25 ohm for 5 seconds and just get warm.

those vfls are power houses but they want as much voltage as they can get to make more power. bob said they should get like 18 volts and produce something like 3500 watts at 1 ohm. they list for 2gs though but they are great amps. i actually have one sitting 5 foot away from me.

When I was a dealer for Autotek, we were blowing a lot of fuses. The tech department told us to open the case and solder across the wires on the inside and leave a fuse in for looks. If we blew an amp, they'd still cover it. I don't know if they still operate that way, but it worked for us at the time. That was back when the 333 was their big amp. Does anybody have one of those laying around?

I think I was messing with them around 1994 through about 1996 or 7. Somewhere in there. I had a shop with a friend in Sierra Vista, Arizona.
