removing deck

Okay.. so the front-right speaker isn't working right now.. its not the speaker for sure, the connection is tight, so now i'm thinking that a wire could have come loose from the deck.. Problem is, is how do i remove the deck.

I know i need to take the face plate off and then the little panel around it, but after that i don't know.. The guy who installed my amp used 2 little things that he slid down and then pulled the deck out. Circuit City said they throw them away when they're done installing a deck, so i guess i'm fucked there? Is there anywhere wehre i can buy some of these? i really need to get this speaker working

it might depend on what car u have, but in my car(93 camry), after you take off the trim, there are 4 screws holding in the whole shebang which includes the deck mount and mini tray. look for bolts around the inside after u take the trim off.

Sounds like the little tools you can get to remove the factory radio, DIN or something I think. When you open the face plate are there 4 holes(2 on each side) close to the edge of the deck?

what kind of car is it. Ford? if it is ever stereo shop and thier dog should have the ford removal tools that you slide in to pop it out. im sure most of them would let you use them. or you could buy them for 5 bucks or so

its a saturn. the closest shop is closed on saturdays and sundays, so im waiting until monday.

Them are the keys YOU NEED to pop it out...

They are idiots I swear. They need to be drug to the side of the install bay the customers cant see and recieve a beating with 1/0 wire....

walmart sells the din removal tools for about 3 bucks or so....not sure if it fits a saturn, but it does fit various models and makes.

NO. He DOES NOT need the din removal tools! Pionner head units can be slid out by using two metal things that every Pioneer Hu comes with. Go to the shop, they do have some laying around.

I doesn't matter what car, it's the same tool for all Pioneer HUs
