is my deck capable....

Post by MrSo0h0o »

is my deck capable of hadling the bi-amping of my 4 ch amp? (can i control the channels to the extent i need it to)

i know this may take up some time to check out, but im not totally sure if its possible with some of the fine-tune settings and i dont want to experiment and blow a tweeter.

here is the owners manual. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pio/p ... 321970.pdf

spare my feelings and take a look at section 8 of the manual or pdf pages 32-38.

i appreciate the help in advance as i know this is a pain in the ass but i will be ever so greatful.

If the amps or the headunits crossovers will work as adjustable HPF for the front, and rear, then yes. They need to be adjustable to around 80 herts and around 2K herts.

Or

You need a component set that has 2 inputs on the crossover.

If you don't have either, you need a active crossover.

yea, my HU has both a LPF(50-125hz) and a HPF(50-125hz), but there are also settings that get deeper into things which i am not sure if they can do the trick.

well, the crossover for my components is such a dinky one. its the size of a walnut or so lol.. it has 2 inputs(2 screws?) and 4 outputs?)+/- woofer, +/- tweeter) i dont think this would do, would it? here is the link to the component set manual for reference: http://www.diamondaudio.com/products/pd ... 052004.pdf

You just answered your own question, no it will not work.

I hate to say it,but this won't work either. If it was biamp capiable, it would have 2 inputs, (4 screws) Looks like you are back to purchasing another crossover.

Not unless you want to fry some tweets. I am pretty sure you will be happy with it like it is.

You could always run the extra speaker wire while you have it apart, so when you do have the money you could add the crossover later.

yea.. once i get all my wiring for my 2nd amp, im gonna dedicate a day to totally rewire my car.. the first time i did it i was in a rush to get it finished because i was late for work. this time around i can take a full day during the week. hopefully i can get all my wires together too, because its a mess!(not hazardous)
