What kind of amp for Focal Sub

Hi, I've been having a Focal Polyglass 33v1 sub sitting in my room for a while and I'm ready to finish my system. I have a 99 VW Passat 1.8T w/ the Monsoon system. I upgraded the speakers to 4 Arc Audio 6 1/2's in the four doors. The bass is ok, but it gets muffled when you crank it up. I bought the Focal because I wanted nice clean SQ bass and everybody told me go for Focal, Hertz, or Infinity Kappa 100.9w. I need an amp and I need a box. Any tips on what kind of amp to get, what RMS I should get it as. Most online forums say to match the RMS of the sub w/ the RMS of the amp, but some speaker places say get an amp that has way more RMS than the sub to push it. So, let me know what you guys think.
