Anyone here Have a Diesel VW?
Just seeing what the general consensus is on the TDI's or any diesel that VW produces.
I'm considering the 09 Jetta Diesel or the 09 Rabbit... and thought it might be a good idea to go with the 09 Jetta because of the MPG and the extra or added rebates.
Whatcha think?

Ive seen a news video online from a news channel (Think ABC) and they test drove a new diesel Jetta. They dealer said they were selling them as fast as they can get them in.
I guess that speaks for itself.

I have a friend with a golf diesel, outstanding car...I would purchase one with 100,000 miles on it without blinking twice

Thanks,
I don't think the GTI is for me as I believe it fits more into the sports car range... I think the TDI however seems like the better bet... Right now I am just trying to talk down the dealers from their current prices... A lot of these TDI's are hovering around $24-$25k and I'd like to get them down to $22k... Plus I am a not a person who likes to have an Auto tranny so getting a car with a stick is a must. I could care less for a sunroof as well...

Update on the vehicle situation... Went to test drive the TDI stick... Its very comfortable and very easy to drive... Handles like a dream... Leatherette seating surfaces and this one has a Sunroof, Bluetooth integration as well as Ipod Integration...
Did I mention the trunk is HUGE!
16 cuft
I don't think I am going to mess with the stock HU but I might throw a LOC in and make a new box for my 2 12" Autoteks... I still actually havnt listened to the stereo yet so I have no clue how loud it gets... A little bump in the trunk wouldnt be bad... just so long as I can still fit my golf clubs in there I'm a happy camper...
BTW does anyone know where I can get some good carpeting for the sub box online? I'm not looking for anything expensive but just something that will match the charcoal/black truck area as well as possible..
