2 12" alpine type r's and a hifonics bxi1208d

Post by MobileAudio219 »

My cousin just came over and said "I have 400 bucks, find me a good pair of 12's and an amp, but hurry I have to be at a job in less than 30 mins...

So I decided to get 2 12" alpine type r's and a hifonics bxi1208 :RE .. I wanted to go with the bxi1608 instead, but it was about 40 bucks more, and I was already 30 bucks over budget...

I figured this should be a pretty good set-up...

So yeah, guess I'm just wanting opinions... Like I said, I was on very short notice otherwise I would of asked first, but I think it'll be decent for the money spent ($430.00)

I've had Type R's and they were great. I had them in a sealed set up with just 600 watts and it got decent SQL. Throwing 1200 I could only imagine what they could do. Mine were the first ones however. So I assume the new versions are better.

Yeah, were going ported... I really wanted him to get the 1,600 watt amp because I heard the r's like the extra power, but he really didnt have the extra money...

We're shopping for a head unit this weekend...

I can't remember that guys name, spkerman or something like that? Well he had them R's flying off the dB scale. What type of HU is he looking into? Don't forget an alarm would also be a good investment. I know I've been wanting to get one.

SPKMAN and his buddies did really well with the type r's, and the boxes that he actually produced were pretty decent, but he was for the most part a scamming P.O.S!!!!

I have on of the best box designers in the industry working with me on the box design (who shall remain unnamed for now)... So yeah, Mark can suck a big one..
