What size are the L7's???

You probably only need about half that, say 1,200-1,500 rms.

I hope you're running the 15" if you plan on giving them 1200w rms each for a daily... otherwise if you're running 12" (or smaller) that kinda power is really only suitable for burping them... The 12"s in a proper box can handle up to 1000w each, with much more making the lifespan of your subs short lived for daily use.

I was talking about the pair 1,200-1,500 for the pair...

EDIT: Wait, were you talking to me?

1000-1200 to each is explosion. 500-700 max unless you are a great box designer and are very careful with the volume knob.

Exactly, you'd be better off buying a 1200 watt amp, and using the money you saved to have somebody build you a nice ported box, the outcome would probably be MUCH better...

Bill (Bwcad1) and Ryan (Ryan from Ohio) both design and build some really nice boxes, see if either have the time to design/build you one... :happy055:
