Merry Xmas... or..

Post by brisgreat1 »

I know im just gettin older now and stuff so all the holidays aren't just about me anymore.. but this christmas has to be the least exicting ive ever had. I dont know if its cause of the economy or im getting older or what but Im really not excited for christmas at all... anyone else feelin a loss of the spirit??

i can definitely see how bad the economy is, especially up in michigan after being in florida for school. One little thing that irritates me is how people feel they have to be so politically correct and say happy holidays.....its merry christmas darn it!

Christmas blows this year. All the stores are closing and giving really good deals but no one really has the money to splurge on all the kickass stuff.

I mean Circuit City, Linen N Things, Friedmans Jewelers all outta biz and 90% off stuff and I couldn't buy shit.

I make a decent living too, can't understand how people who are less fortunate and making it. Me and my wife make like 60k-70k a year and its rough! Poor money management and I was really sick for 2 months and missed a lot of work has put a HUGE strain on us.

Luckily for me doctors finally fixed me and I haven't missed any work in 2 weeks

The economy didnt have a big effect on christmas this year for me and my family...

I always lived within my means. I have one debt card and one credit card. The credit card gets paid off EVERY month.

I don't have a new car or a real big nice house... But I do have the peace of mind knowing that I can afford my bills every month comfortably... To me thats worth more than a new truck or a ton of nice toys...

Just missing work killed me but it seems were back on our feet even with the Xmas event

So I'm really hoping after this I can pay 2 people back and a CC off and be done with the whole debt thing. Except the truck which I'm fine with
