Cold weather reminder.

Post by MobileAudio219 »

House:
Check the batteries on your smoke & carbon monoxide detectors.

Change your furnace filters.

Make sure you have your shovel handy and have plenty of salt.

Car
Make sure you have the proper anti-freeze mixture.

Change to the proper winter oil weight.

It's a good idea to carry an extra blanket, shovel, bag of sand, gloves, ect...

Jumper Cables!

I know I'm missing alot of things, but it's more so a reminder to make a list of stuff you need to do to your home and vehicles ready for winter. :happy055:

So yeah, if you have a list that you want to post up to others, please do!

And keep some Non-clumping kitty litter in your trunk just in case you get stuck (great for traction) ;)

If you have a house without alot of openings in the foundation, most of the time you can get away with leaving the dripping...

It's 32f outside right now, it's surpose to drop down to 27f at around sunrise.

It's only going to get up to 49f today, but thursday and friday it's surpose to get up to around 70f... Then it's rurpose to get colder again...

We usually dont see our first snow until around december..

The 4-5 years have been real mild as far as snow goes, we only had 2-3 storms that brought more than 6" of snow, and it usually only lasted 3-4 days... Although we had ALOT of ice compared to usually.

Hopefully we'll get some decent snow this year!

We had miniature hail mixed with rain yesterday and the day before in short burst but no snow as of yet, but evenings have been dipping below freezing.
