Boo nothing! you try running a buisness in this field when these people online sell new equipment for less than i can get at my price. its bullshit. and thats reason i dont sell any equipment other than hifonics that you can get online. and now that bravox deals online i dont know whats left.. the only thing i have in my aresenal is the fact that im authorized and that i carry a manufacturer warranty. and that wont sell that many people. and this is the main reason im going to close up shopCaptainPioneer wrote:hehehe boooo... Hahah yea i would be frustrated too, I build Beer Pong tables for clients and everyone wants one but they only wanna pay like $50 for the amount of work that i put in to them i come out making only ike $15 profit and lots of hours spent on it, so when i tell them at leat $100 they shit a brick and wont buy... Its definitely a tough world out there
I was a little sad when the original poster here said that he wanted McIntosh inside a 97 Jeep Wrangler. Get any kind of moisture into the McIntosh amp, and you have toasted a 1000 dollar amp.
I love McIntosh amps, and if my head wasn't up my ass a few years ago, I would still have my MC4000M 6ch triple powersupply 1000watt amp. Brand new they are 6 grand.
My personal opinion, since you (the original poster) own a 97 Jeep Wrangler, is that you buy a JLAudio stealthbox that has the 12w3v2 inside, get a JL Audio E4200M Marine amplifier so in case it rains, you won't toast your setup. Then run the Marine components too. Your system will be completely protected against the natural elements as well as sounding very good. No one will see your system, which IMHO is the best thing for you. With a Wrangler, you have absolutely 0, zip, none, nadda security. So stealth is your best bet. You will get amazing sound from these speakers, and the amp is as good as the regular "e" series amps. Plus you get the added protection against the rain and the other elements. Don't worry about the best amp, there is no best. McIntosh makes a phenominal amplifier, but, they are also extremely expensive. You could have this whole system done with install for the price of one McIntosh 4 channel amp. Think about this.
I might be the only one here who has owned a full McIntosh install from the MX5000 HU, the MCD5000 10disk changer, the MC4000M 6 channel amp, a set of 6.5" McIntosh components, a set of 5.25" components, and two 12" McIntosh subs. Total price of equipment alone over $20,000. Install was free, it was my store demo car. I also have a full Focal/Audison system now valued about half of that system. Even with the complete Alpine 8080 alarm on the McIntosh car, thieves still tried to get in.
I guess what I am trying to get through to you. McIntosh is excellent equipment, you won't be sorry if you are looking for SQ ONLY...but if you really want to bump, go with an amp that is more utilized for SPL rather than SQ. The Hifonics is an excellent amp, the Kicker or JL Audio again, excellent. But McIntosh is not what you are looking for based on the information you have put up. If you want the amp to match your interior, get the heatsink of what ever amp you have powdercoated or anodized to match your interior. You will be matching and still have money left over in your pocket.
this is just my .03 worth...the extra penny is for inflation and gas prices.
