memphis amp?

one of my friends told me that memphis amps are the best....any input before i go spending alot of money on one?

well tell your friend to define "best", there isnt a such thing, but Memphis in general is good stuff, you couldnt go wrong with an all Memphis setup at that.. very respectable and well built stuff.. check out the Good Bad Ugly list for a good idea of stuff that is worth looking into.. if there is a brand that isnt listed that you are curious about, let us know. we will fill you in with our best information, and usually OUR own personal experiences with the brands.

I wouldn't say that they are the best, depends on what you are wanting to get out of it and how much it is going to cost you. You say a lot of money, if that is the case then you may be able to find a better amp for what you are going to spend.

well i wanna spend at least 400 on my amp, and eventualy i wanna push 12's or 4 10's illl probley go with 4 jl 10"s cause my friend had 2 of them and they can bump

wow u almost never hear someon say "I want to spend at least..." on this forum, hehe we are cheap-ass's lol well... at least I am... Dude if you want to get JL and u got some money, sounds like you do... Get a w7 that would be impressive.. 1 of those in a ported box would be insanity! Or go with a Brahma 15"

the l7? is that the kicker thats square? i heard they have mad bass........i want a good system that can handle my dj screw without bumming out ya know so thats why im talking to you all so my money isnt wasted on kenwood and xplod(thats what happened last time in my 2k1 grand cherokee) and that shit sucked for real

yes, the L7 is one of kicker's square woofers, and yes it can get loud, but it definitely lacks sound quality, and reliability. go through the good, bad, and ugly list again and see what you like in the good and highly recommended categories, and we'll help steer you in the right direction from there.

Ok well the L7, while being known for getting loud, is basically a fart cannon... sounds like crap! But if u are looking for spl with some great sq, definitely go with either Alpine Type R's, RE Audio makes a RE, SE SX, XXX, MT lines but i would think that 2 SE's would be fine for you if you are looking to order from someone ask Sinister Audio, thats where i got my SX from, awesome sounding sub... Personally i think that u should look into the Alpines because they are a great price for what you get and many people will definitely agree on that, and you can over power them which is great!
